In June 2007, SMF held a one-day spiritual discipline training for brothers and sisters of all member churches. The theme was "Building up a Meditative Life" led by Dr. Jan Johnson. The retreat included worship, teaching, and personal meditation. The afternoon personal meditation time was held in a beautiful garden environment conducive to meditation and prayer.
